I found it very difficult to pull all the details in the 100 Days Agenda to a single post but allow me to try to pull all of it together.  We may see a lot of changes to the agenda in the coming days.

  1. SUPREME COURT: Appoint a judge “who will uphold the Constitution” and “defend the Second Amendment”
  2. IMMIGRATION: Construct a wall on the southern U.S. border
    • Make Mexico pay for it?  Have Congress pay for it and then, somehow, Mexico pay it back?
    • Limit immigration, penalties for expired visas
    • Cancel all federal fundings of sanctuary cities
    • Remove the “more than 2 million criminal illegal immigrants” from the United States; cancel visas for countries who won’t take them back
    • Establish more screening procedures
  3. TRADE: Renegotiate and Reassess trade agreements with other nations and “crack down” on companies “that send jobs overseas”
    • North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) – either reassess agreement or withdraw from NAFTA completely
    • Withdraw from the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) and replace with a “fair bilateral trade deal”
    • Label China a “currency manipulator” and rework trade agreement with China 
    • Reworking trade agreement with China and Mexico
    • Limit American companies from going off-shore
    • Possible tariffs
  4. NATIONAL HEALTHCARE: Repeal and replace the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (commonly called the Affordable Care Act or Obamacare or ACA)
    • Promises “insurances for everybody”
    • Replace Obamacare with “something terrific” (not specified yet)
    • Able to purchase health insurance across state lines
    • States will manage Medicaid funding
    • Veterans get choice of VA treatment center or private doctor
  5. ECONOMY (LOCAL):
    • 35% tax cut for middle-class families with two children
    • Reduce tax brackets from 7 to 3 (Trump’s plan: 12% for $0-$37,500 for single and $0-$75,000 for married couples; 25% for $37500-$112,500 for single and $75,000-$225,000 for married; 33% for $112,500+ for single and $225,000+ for married)
      • Note: upper brackets are combined and lowered from 40% for $415,050-$415,050 for single and $413,350-$466,950 for married and 35% for $415,050+ for single and $466,950+ for married
      • Example: a family of the top 1% will get a tax cut of about $317,000 a year while a family earning between $40-$50k  will get a tax cut of about $560 a year (Lily Batchelder, 2016)
    • Reduce business tax rates from 35% to 15%
    • Allow American corporation to repatriate money at a 10% rate
    • Deduction of childcare and eldercare costs from their taxes
    • Create tax-free dependent care savings account
  6. REGULATIONS: Remove or change federal restrictions and oversight on energy production, food and drug, utilities, energy firms, etc.
    • Attempt to boost the economy/hiring by rolling back federal regulations
    • Remove restrictions on US energy production (focused on oil, gas) by lifting restrictions of “$50 trillion dollars” worth of American energy reserves
    • Cancel billions in payment to UN climate change programs
    • Environmental Protection Agency, Food and Drug Administration, and Federal Trade Commission could be affected.
  7. CONSTITUTIONAL CHANGES: Push for an amendment to the United States Constitution imposing term limits on Congress
  8. GUNS: Eliminate gun free zones from schools and military bases
  9. GOVERNMENT: 
    • Cancel every unconstitutional executive action/memorandum/order issued by former-President Obama
    • Formulate a rule on regulations “that for every one new regulation, two old regulations must be eliminated”
    • Hiring freeze on all federal employees (except for military, public safety, and public health)
    • Five-year ban on White House and Congressional officials becoming lobbyists after they leave government position
    • Lifetime ban on White House officials lobbying on behalf of a foreign government
    • “Drain the swamp”
  10. EDUCATION: Let local government handle their education plans
    • End common core
    • School choices (e.g., voucher for school desired)
    • Make two- and four-year colleges affordable
  11. CYBER: Instruct the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Defense Department to “develop a comprehensive plan to protect America’s vital infrastructure from cyberattacks, and all other form of attacks.”
    • Create a review team with military, law enforcement and the private sector to evaluate cyber vulnerabilities in critical infrastructure
    • Protect infrastructures from cyber attacks
  12. SAFETY:
    • Increase funding for local police
    • Create a task force on violent crimes
    • See GUNS
    • See CYBER
  13. INFRASTRUCTURE: Increase infrastructure spending with $1 trillion dollar spending.
    • No increase in taxes for infrastructure spending
    • Possible increase in tolls and user fees on the highways
